Arsenal pulled off one of the most talked-about deals of the window by signing 23-year-old Italian playmaker Matteo Rinaldi from Napoli just hours before the transfer deadline. The fee is reported to be around €50 million. Rinaldi has built a reputation as a creative force in Serie A, registering 12 assists last season. The move comes after Arsenal failed to land their top target earlier in the summer. Manager Mikel Arteta described Rinaldi as “the missing piece” to unlock defences and add depth ahead of a demanding season. The midfielder will join training immediately and could make his debut in next week’s North London derby.
